We are in the process of collecting video observations at Family Child Care Homes in Alabama and Delaware. These videos will help us develop items. We have loved getting to spend time with so many wonderful providers! We have just a few spots left for this portion of the project. Contact us if you would like to participate!

We have absolutely loved talking with Family Child Care Educators in our Focus Groups! We have conducted 16 Focus Group with almost 100 participants so far. We have gained a lot of wonderful insights from what has been shared in these groups. Thank you so much to our participants!
We are wrapping up this portion of the project and looking forward to our next steps! Last week, members of the Everyday Quality team traveled to Atlanta, GA, to attend the 2023
National Association for Family Child Care Conference and host a table in the exhibit hall. Dr. Alison Hooper and Dr. Rena Hallam presented a session called “Advocating for a Holistic View of Quality in Family Child Care” to a full room of family child care educators, quality improvement specialists, and advocates where they shared information about the EDQ and project goals. We got to meet many family child care educators at our exhibit hall table and discuss the EDQ project and hear about educators’ own experiences with quality improvement. Several educators also took a short survey about quality in family child care. It was a great conference, and we hope to be back next year. Thanks to NAFCC for having us! |
